Project
description: Rediscovering Italy’s concept
is to explore Italy and potentially other regions in the world. The viewer
will not only have the opportunity to travel to Italy and other countries,
but to explore and re-discover what these places mean to the people today.
The artisan, who is inspired by the great artist, designers and creators of
centuries past; the chef, who re-creates daily culinary feasts that have been
passed along generation by generation as well as creating new dishes to be
passed along; visit vineyards where the rich traditions of wine have made
Italy one of the finest wine producing countries of the world, where others
learn their techniques for creating their own blends; The festivals where the
people bask in the rich culture that has made Italy one of the most desired
places to visit. The concept of this series is to begin in Italy and its
individual regions. The viewer along with the host will then rediscover what
makes not only Italy unique but the individual regions that are unique to
themselves and what makes Italy on a whole an explorers paradise |

Pilot
Show: Tuscany is our first stop in Italy. It is
the most familiar region and the region known for Florence and Pisa. Though
Florence and Pisa have much to be explored and discovered, its has many other
towns that make it worth re-discovering. A few of those towns that our pilot
visits are Volterra, Lucca and Vicopisano. Each of these towns bring their
own charm to Tuscany as well as their own history. Volterra, a hilltop
village, is known for its Etruscan heritage, a heritage that lives on today with
many local artisans who have mastered the art of sculpturing alabaster.
Lucca, a village nestled in the rich wine region, provides us with new wines
and their creations along with traditional meals. Vicopisano is another small
village that brings us the ancient tradition of pottery making and brings us
back to the medieval period with its streets lit only by the torches that
once did and with the people dressed in traditional costumes demonstrating
how life once was. More than just a travels show, a travelers adventure to
re-discover. |
